Some of you would have already tried this but I have not. One of my friends asked me to check out Speedtest and see what the speeds are on my already talked about Sify connection.

Well, as expected, Sify is only providing me a little over half of the promised bandwidth of 256Kbps. Here is what I got on Speedtest:

What I wanted to outline rather, is the elegant design of the Speedtest portal and how intuitive the creators of this page have been.

Apart from the eye-catching design, they also provide code for a Speedtest plug-in that could be added to your website.
